In this course the sources of law in Canada will
be identified, and structures and processes of the legal system examined. The
courts as a system of dispute resolution will be illustrated and the roles of
the various participants will be discussed. Alternative forms of process will
be examined, and their utility assessed. The trial process and how courts reach
decisions will be illustrated.
